Baseball Recap: Monmouth-Roseville Comes Up Short

Monmouth-Roseville had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 17-1 to the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Titans have suffered since April 29, 2024.

Monmouth-Roseville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Way, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win got LaSalle-Peru back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Monmouth-Roseville is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Illinois Valley Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for LaSalle-Peru, they will square off against Pekin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
