Preview: Lone Peak Knights vs. American Fork Cavemen
The Lone Peak Knights will be playing at home against the American Fork Cavemen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Lone Peak waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 70-68 victory over Skyridge. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Lone Peak has posted yet this season.
Lone Peak's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomsen Kramer, who scored 20 points along with seven assists. Another player making a difference was Jackson Taylor, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, American Fork's five-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 69-56 victory over Pleasant Grove.
Lone Peak has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for American Fork, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Lone Peak didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against American Fork when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win.
