Volleyball Recap: Weir Comes Up Short

The Weir Red Riders came up short against the Bellaire Big Reds on Monday and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14.

Ella Kaufman paced Weir's offense, picking up four kills. Kaufman got some help from Amalia Kirlangitis and her 11 assists. Kaufman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Weir's loss dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Bellaire, with the victory, they broke their ten-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-15.

Weir wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Tyler on the 9th. As for Bellaire, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Buckeye Local on the 6th.
