Softball Recap: Grace Davis Comes Up Short

Grace Davis extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They came up short against the Livingston Wolves, falling 11-0. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Wolves when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Livingston, their win bumped their record up to 6-10-1. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

For Livingston's part, Mariah Blaine made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Blaine was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tatianna Alvarez, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Marisol Salgado was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Coincidentally, Grace Davis and Livingston will both be playing Beyer the next time they take the field. The Wolves will head out to face the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
