Soccer Game Preview: Myrtle Beach vs. Nation Ford

The Myrtle Beach Seahawks will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Nation Ford Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Myrtle Beach saw some tournament action last Sunday. They fell just short of Berkeley by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Seahawks' first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Tia Boatwright, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Nation Ford's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marvin Ridge on Tuesday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nation Ford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Myrtle Beach, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Myrtle Beach came up short against Nation Ford in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Myrtle Beach avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
