Baseball Recap: West Campus Has No Trouble Against Valley

West Campus's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Valley Vikings as the West Campus Warriors made off with a 14-3 win. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Jaymin Wise spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up 15 Ks.

On the hitting side, Xavier Mendoza was a standout: he scored four runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for West Campus: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Lee, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

The win got West Campus back to even at 4-4. As for Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Campus beat Valley by a score of 10-0 on Thursday.
