Recap: Kennedy Eagles vs. Derby Red Raiders

The Kennedy Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victor by a 44-22 margin over Derby. That's another feather in the cap for Kennedy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Derby's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryan Mclean, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Titus, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Derby, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Kennedy will head out on the road to face off against Wolcott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wolcott is on a three-game streak of home losses, Kennedy a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Derby will take on Ansonia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Ansonia's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
