Basketball Recap: Ava Santore Key Part of a Team Effort in Warhawks Win

Seminole won the last time they faced Tarpon Springs and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Seminole Warhawks enjoyed a cozy 46-32 win over the Tarpon Springs Spongers.

Seminole's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Santore, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 15 points along with six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Santore a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Fekollari, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 12 points and three steals.

The win got Seminole back to even at 4-4. As for Tarpon Springs, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Seminole won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seminole is facing Pinellas Park at the right time seeing as Pinellas Park is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Tarpon Springs, they will take on Countryside at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
