Basketball Recap: Callisburg Takes a Loss

Callisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valley View Eagles. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 45-41.

Callisburg's record now sits at 16-11. As for Valley View, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-21.

Callisburg and Valley View could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Callisburg will take on Paradise at 6:15 p.m. on Friday down 658 places (896 vs. 238). Similarly, Valley View (ranked 1380th) will meet Ponder (ranked 186th) at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
