Baseball Recap: Arthur-Okaw Christian Comes Up Short

Arthur-Okaw Christian came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-4 to the St. Thomas More Sabers. The Conquering Riders have struggled against the Sabers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Grayson Schrock was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Thomas More, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arthur-Okaw Christian is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Thomas More, they will face off against Maroa-Forsyth at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
