Elba and Byron-Bergen are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Lancers will head out to challenge the Bees at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Elba and eight for Byron-Bergen.

Elba fell victim to Oakfield-Alabama and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 12-0 to the Hornets.

Meanwhile, Byron-Bergen came up short against Caledonia-Mumford on Saturday, falling 17-1.

Byron-Bergen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Gray, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Elba's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Byron-Bergen, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Elba took their win against Byron-Bergen in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 19-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
