Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Acalanes

While Acalanes didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 47-42 W over the Post Falls Trojans on Monday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Dons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 189th in California, while the Trojans are ranked 17th in Idaho).

The victory made it two in a row for Acalanes and bumps their season record up to 7-3. As for Post Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Acalanes will head out to take on Junipero Serra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Post Falls, they will take on Eastmont in a tournament on Friday.
