League recap: Bishop Loughlin losing skid hits five games

Bishop Loughlin's 5-game skid is the longest active losing streak in the league.

First place in Catholic B belongs to St. Agnes, which has compiled a 2-0 overall record to go with its 2-0 league record. Monsignor Scanlan is zero games back and in second place with a 2-0 league record.

Cathedral Prep's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only five hits and six walks, both of which led the league. On the season, the Crusaders have allowed just 112 hits, while striking out 109 batters. Anthony Laporta leads the Crusaders with 59 strikeouts in 47 innings pitched.
