The Durango Demons will venture away from home to take on the Vista Ridge Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Durango is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 63-12 victory over Liberty. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Demons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Lancers are ranked 135th).

Grady Feeney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 192 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 32 yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (158.6). Dawson McInnes was in the mix too, providing Durango with two scores.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Durango proved: they limited Liberty to a paltry 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Carson Palmer for the heroic effort on defense: he. Durango didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.9.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Durango, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of McInnes, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Vista Ridge made sure to put some points up on the board against Air Academy on Friday. The Wolves really took it to the Kadets for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-0 win. The Wolves pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Kadets had no chance of recovering from.
Vista Ridge's win came from a few key players Durango will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Colton Camba, who threw for 295 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 38 yards. Malachi Arnds was another key player, rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Durango pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.8 points on average over those games. As for Vista Ridge, their record now sits at 7-2.
Durango didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Vista Ridge in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wolves' Nayshaun Hall, who rushed for 123 yards and a pair of scores. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Demons to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
