South Central skates past St. John with ease

Recap: South Central Timberwolves vs. St. John Tigers

The South Central Timberwolves entered their tilt with the St. John Tigers with three consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with four. South Central took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-23 victory over St. John. Given South Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while St. John is ranked 113th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why St. John lost, one person who can't be blamed is Quade smith. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points smith has scored all season.

South Central's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for St. John, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

South Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Reno County HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on December 9th.
