With a playoff win on the line, Legacy rose to the challenge  on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the John Carroll Catholic Rams  3-2. The  victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on nine straight.
 Legacy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-20,  15-11.
Legacy was led to victory by  Paisley Woods and  Kherington Neikirk.  Woods  had 15  digs and two assists, while  Neikirk  had eight  digs and three  aces. Woods is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's  played.
 They weren't the only good servers: Legacy  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 14  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in nine consecutive  matches.
 Despite the loss, John Carroll Catholic still got an impressive performance from   Meghan Childs, who  had seven  digs and two  aces.  Liv Laughlin also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Legacy's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for John Carroll Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.
 The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, Legacy and South Fork will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for John Carroll Catholic, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Gateway  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
