Basketball Recap: Greater Vision Academy's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Greater Vision Academy lost against Alamance Christian back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions received a blow as they fell 61-43 to the Warriors. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Greater Vision Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayce King shot 50% from the field on his way to 14 points. Bradun Rogers was another key player, putting up nine points.

With the defeat, Greater Vision Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Alamance Christian, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Greater Vision Academy will head out to face off against Shining Light Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Alamance Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Grace Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
