Soccer Game Preview: Cor Jesu Academy vs. Ursuline Academy

The Cor Jesu Academy Chargers will head out to take on the Ursuline Academy Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cor Jesu Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Cor Jesu Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: Nixa, who was ranked seventh at the time (Cor Jesu Academy was ranked first). The Chargers were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Eagles on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Cor Jesu Academy, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ursuline Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They and Kirkwood finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Ursuline Academy's first draw of the season.

Cor Jesu Academy pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three contests. Ursuline Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 10-4-1.

Everything went Cor Jesu Academy's way against Ursuline Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Cor Jesu Academy made off with a 7-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
