Baseball Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

Miller extended their losing streak to 13 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-20 in the process. They lost 11-1 to the Carroll Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 back in March.

As for Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 5-21. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Carroll's part, the team relied heavily on Niko Caballero, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Caballero a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daniel Flores, who fired off two home runs and three runs while going 2-for-3.

Miller has already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on the 26th. As for Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against Ray on the 26th.
