Bennington has gone a perfect 10-0 against Gross Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bennington Badgers will look to defend their home court against the Gross Catholic Cougars. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Bennington will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Roncalli Catholic, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Bennington strolled past Roncalli Catholic with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 73-55. Given the Badgers' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Crimson Pride are ranked 135th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bennington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Kaiser, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Olson, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Gross Catholic duked it out with Louisville on Saturday. Gross Catholic took down Louisville 61-46. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Bennington's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points over those games. As for Gross Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 3-15.

Bennington didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Gross Catholic when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 62-58 win. Will Bennington repeat their success, or does Gross Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
