Baseball Recap: Purdy Comes Up Short

Purdy lost against Mt. Vernon back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 11-10. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Purdy's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Mt. Vernon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Purdy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-1 win against Blue Eye on the 16th. Mt. Vernon has also already played their next game (against Buffalo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
