Baseball Recap: Mt. Carmel Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Carmel). They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Poway Titans on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Sundevils, who have now won three games in a row.

Shane Carter tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bryce Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Dylan Le was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and two RBI.

The victory got Mt. Carmel back to even at 3-3. As for Poway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Mt. Carmel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Southwest EC on the 25th. As for Poway, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against San Pasqual on the 25th.
