Recap: Rangely Panthers vs. Soroco Rams
The Rangely Panthers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 68-26 win over Soroco. The result was nothing new for Rangely, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Gage Fielder had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Fielder was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Chase Cochrane also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Rangely is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Soroco, their defeat was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rangely will take on Vail Christian at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Vail Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Rangely likes a good challenge. As for Soroco, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Hayden is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
