Basketball Game Preview: Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans vs. Cannon Cougars + Official Tickets

Wesleyan Christian Academy is 1-7 against Cannon since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. Wesleyan Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Cannon likes a good challenge.

Wesleyan Christian Academy is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Ravenscroft: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Trojans blew the Ravens out of the water with a 60-5 final score. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Cannon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They slipped by Winston Salem Christian 50-49.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's record now sits at 3-0. As for Cannon, their record is now 4-2.

Things could have been worse for Wesleyan Christian Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-55 loss to Cannon in their previous meeting back in February. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Cougars' Madison Drayton, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Now that the Trojans know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
