Preview: Windsor Locks Raiders vs. Suffield Wildcats

Windsor Locks is 2-8 against Suffield since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The two teams will face off at 6:45 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Windsor Locks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Windsor Locks lost to Somers on the road by a decisive 66-51 margin. Windsor Locks has struggled against Somers recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite their loss, Windsor Locks saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jasmine Hurdle, who scored 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. Katie Gough was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Suffield stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Stafford 44-23. Given Suffield's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Stafford is ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Windsor Locks' defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Suffield, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
