Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Olympia

Olympia took a 23-point loss the last time they faced off against Bonney Lake, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Olympia Bears narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bonney Lake Panthers 54-52. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Panthers are ranked 229th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Olympia, bringing their record for this year to 15-3. As for Bonney Lake, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
