Volleyball Recap: Pisgah Bears vs. Brevard Blue Devils
If Pisgah was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of East Henderson on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell 3-1 to the Brevard Blue Devils on Thursday. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in December of 2020.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Brevard scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 25-21.
Addison Worley was nothing short of spectacular for Brevard: she had 18 digs and five assists. Worley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.
Pisgah's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Brevard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pisgah will host Erwin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Brevard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Henderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
