Softball Recap: Montwood Comes Up Short

Montwood managed to slip by Permian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Montwood Rams lost 9-2 to the Permian Panthers on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Montwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brook Gill, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Gill hit this season.

Montwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Permian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0-1.

Montwood has already played their next match, a 13-2 win against Plainview on the 22nd. As for Permian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-1 defeat against Canyon on the 22nd.
