Baseball Recap: Wapakoneta's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wapakoneta won the last time they faced St. Henry and things went their way on Monday too. Wapakoneta came out on top against St. Henry by a score of 5-0. The victory was familiar territory for Wapakoneta, who have now won four matches in a row.

Daron Houser made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Wapakoneta let Grant Jolly and Ethan Brandt run wild. Jolly got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, while Brandt went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave Brandt a new career-high.

Wapakoneta's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for St. Henry, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.
