Basketball Game Preview: Hanover-Horton Comets vs. Addison Panthers

Hanover-Horton is 10-0 against Addison since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Hanover-Horton Comets will square off against the Addison Panthers at 1:45 p.m.

Hanover-Horton will head into Monday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They came up short against Michigan Center, falling 73-53. The Comets have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from JJ Russ, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Soper, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Addison can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 61-54 win over East Jackson.

Hanover-Horton's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Addison, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.

Everything came up roses for Hanover-Horton against Addison when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 88-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hanover-Horton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
