Volleyball Recap: Three Rivers Extends Winning Streak to Three

Three Rivers entered their tilt with Sturgis on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Trojans. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Three Rivers was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-13.

London Hoffmaster paced Three Rivers' offense, picking up six kills. Hoffmaster got some help from Miley Southland and her 20 assists.

Three Rivers now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sturgis, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Three Rivers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Mendon on the 25th. As for Sturgis, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lakeshore at 7:00 p.m. on September 4.
