Soccer Game Preview: St. Michael's vs. TMI-Episcopal

The St. Michael's Warriors will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the TMI-Episcopal Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Michael's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

St. Michael's fell victim to Barbers Hill and their airtight defense on Saturday. 2025 welcomed they with a 5-0 loss courtesy of the Eagles.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was TMI-Episcopal who was credited with the win on Tuesday. TMI-Episcopal got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Incarnate Word's two.

TMI-Episcopal pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three games. As for St. Michael's, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

St. Michael's took their win against TMI-Episcopal in their previous meeting back in January of 2021 by a conclusive 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Michael's since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
