E.E. Smith extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They came out on top against the Terry Sanford Bulldogs by a score of 56-44. Given the Golden Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 182nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jackson Williams produced another solid performance shooting 45% from the field en route to 22 points and five boards. Patrick Barber was another key player, going 7-for-8 on his way to 14 points.

As for Terry Sanford, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Loss or not, Terry Sanford got some senior leadership from Gaven Kraut and Mason Walker. Kraut shot 60% from the field to rack up 17 points, while Walker posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Kraut.

E.E. Smith didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-53 victory against Seventy-First on the 20th. As for Terry Sanford, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-55 win against Douglas Byrd on the 20th.
