Football Recap: Dalhart Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Dalhart had won three straight road games and Hunter Trusler did his part to make it four on Friday. The Wolves put the hurt on the Bushland Falcons with a sharp 31-7 win with plenty of help from Trusler, who rushed for 143 yards and three scores, and also threw for 137 yards and one touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

Dalhart didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Trusler led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Kade Speer was another major factor on D, making 15 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Dalhart's record now sits at 8-1. As for Bushland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dalhart will square off against rival Shallowater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Trusler and Cooper Martin. Meanwhile, Bushland is set to face off against their familiar foe River Road at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
