The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rockridge, who took down 106th ranked Rockridge, 32-22. Brody Gronewold threw for 130 yards and one touchdown and ran for 72 yards in the win.
Monmouth-Roseville was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fourth in West Central. Earlier in the week, the Titans triumphed over Pittsfield-Griggsville-Perry 34-14.
West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw]'s offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Coy Dorothy threw for 341 and three touchdowns and Austin Hardy had 166 yards receiving. On the ground Dorothy chipped in 80 yards. Kolbie Schilson helped West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw]'s passing attack out by catching six balls for 104 yards.
The Titans' Dorothy and Hardy have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dorothy has thrown for 1636 yards this season, while Hardy has 38 catches for 659 yards. Illini West's Ben Gittings leads the league in rushing yards with 438.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Saukees take on Macomb. At the moment, Pittsfield-Griggsville-Perry is in sixth, while the Bombers are in first.
Illini West moved up to 203 from 267 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Central. Illini West was able to make the jump by beating the Rockets 32-22.
