Recap: Boulder City Eagles vs. Virgin Valley Bulldogs
The Boulder City Eagles put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Virgin Valley as Boulder City made off with a 80-59 win. The result was nothing new for Boulder City, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Boulder City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Roman Rose, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The contest was Rose's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Wright, who scored 21 points.
Boulder City's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Virgin Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boulder City will be home for the holidays to greet Fernley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Virgin Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Elko at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Elko is ranked 40th, while Virgin Valley is ranked 28th).
