Volleyball Recap: South Salem's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

South Salem had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Sacred Heart Prep Gators on Saturday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Salem to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ellenia Setzer, who had six digs and two aces. Those six digs gave Setzer a new career-high.

South Salem's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-4 record this season.

South Salem wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against St. Henry on the 27th. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Flagstaff on the 27th.
