Baseball Recap: Cascade Takes a Loss

Cascade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 23-5 to the Newport Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-1 loss on Wednesday.

Cascade saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hans Kamm, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Newport, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Cascade nor Newport have any future games scheduled.
