Basketball Recap: Redmond Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Redmond waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 68-64 W against the Lake Stevens Vikings. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Redmond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sofia Locati led the charge by dropping a double-double with 25 points and 12 boards. What's more, Locati also posted a 53% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2025. Yuki Willis was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on her way to 24 points.

Redmond smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Redmond's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Lake Stevens, the loss snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 17-3 record.

Looking ahead, Redmond will take on Woodinville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Stevens, they will face off against Glacier Peak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
