Sanger won the last time they faced Van Alstyne and things went their way on Tuesday too. Sanger's pitcher stepped up to hand Van Alstyne a 1-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won six games in a row.

The result came thanks to Leala Kloewer's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

Sanger's win bumped their record up to 11-5-4. As for Van Alstyne, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Sanger will have a chance to go back-to-back against Van Alstyne: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
