Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista Comes Up Short

Monte Vista lost against Steele Canyon on October 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Monarchs came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-16, 25-12.

Monte Vista has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season. As for Steele Canyon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Monte Vista will square off against rival Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Steele Canyon is set to take on their familiar foe El Cajon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
