AAA District 9 recap Oct. 30, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lebanon, who took down 48th ranked Hendersonville, 13-7.
Beech extended the longest winning streak in AAA District 9 this week by beating Gallatin, 28-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Beech's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lincoln Kenitzer threw for 55 yards and Ashton Westmoreland had 42 yards receiving. On the ground Dorian Carter chipped in 167 yards. Dametris Watson helped Beech's passing attack out by catching one ball for 10 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Kenitzer and Jalen Hurd Anthony Crabtree's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Kenitzer leads the league in passing with 987 yards, while Hurd has rushed for 1973 yards this season. Station Camp's Josh Malone leads the league in receiving yards with 390 on 26 catches.
The Blue Devils made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,839 from 9,952. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 13-7 victory over the Commandos last week.
