Baseball Recap: Glades Central Takes a Loss

Glades Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-7 to the Glades Day Gators. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Gators from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Juan Mojica was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Emmanuel Ruiz was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Glades Central's record now sits at 0-3. As for Glades Day, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Glades Central will face off against Berean Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glades Day, they will challenge Atlantic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
