Jeffersonville had won ten straight games and Michael Cooper did his part to make it 11 on Friday. The Jeffersonville Red Devils came out on top against the Castle Knights by a score of 62-53 for which the team can thank Cooper, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 28 points and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Elijah Cheeks, who posted no points and six assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jakob Wongler, who went 7-for-10 en route to 19 points. Xander Niehaus was another key player, shooting 55% from the field on his way to 16 points and three blocks.

Jeffersonville's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. As for Castle, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-11.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Jeffersonville will take on Scottsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jeffersonville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Scottsburg likes a good challenge. As for Castle, they will challenge Evansville Reitz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Castle will be up against Evansville Reitz's rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.42 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
