Baseball Recap: Sheridan Hills Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pahokee last Friday, Sheridan Hills Christian came back down to earth. The Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks lost 19-3 to the Highlands Christian Knights on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost seven in a row.

Sheridan Hills Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kobe Alvero, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Alvero is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stole at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Adrian Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Sheridan Hills Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Highlands Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sheridan Hills Christian will face off against Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Highlands Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Miami Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on March 7th.
