Softball Recap: Arlington Drops Season-High Score on Canyon Springs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). They never let the Canyon Springs Cougars get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.

Lorena Ricasa was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ahdrie Martinez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Arlington's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Canyon Springs, they moved to 10-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Arlington will look to defend their home field on Friday against Beaumont at 3:15 p.m. As for Canyon Springs, they will take on San Gorgonio at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
