Preview: Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats vs. Mossyrock Vikings
The Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats will take on the Mossyrock Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Wilbur-Creston-Keller sitting on 11 straight wins and Mossyrock on ten.
With a playoff game on the line, Wilbur-Creston-Keller rose to the challenge on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Naselle 98-44 on the road. The result was nothing new for Wilbur-Creston-Keller, who have now won ten matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Kalub Dreger had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 401 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 22.3 yards per carry. Dreger is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last ten games he's played. Preston Michel and his 174 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Wilbur-Creston-Keller's win.
Meanwhile, Mossyrock faced Almira-Coulee-Hartline in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mossyrock took down Almira-Coulee-Hartline 46-30 on Saturday.
Easton Kolb continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 128 yards and five touchdowns, while also throwing for 98 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes. Another player making a difference was Zackary Munoz, who gained 106 total yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Wilbur-Creston-Keller to 11-0 and Mossyrock to 10-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game Saturday as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Wilbur-Creston-Keller has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 517.7 total yards per game. However, it's not like Mossyrock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 390.8 per game.
