Soccer Game Preview: Research Triangle vs. Falls Lake

The Research Triangle Raptors will face off against the Falls Lake Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Research Triangle's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Research Triangle's offense. They came up short against NCSSM: Durham last Wednesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Research Triangle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 397th, while NCSSM: Durham are ranked 189th).

Meanwhile, Falls Lake also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Wake Prep Academy by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Falls Lake have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Falls Lake's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Research Triangle, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1.
