             First Presbyterian Day is 1-6 against John Milledge Academy since August of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The First Presbyterian Day Vikings will head out to  square off against the John Milledge Academy Trojans  at 4:30  p.m. First Presbyterian Day is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
 First Presbyterian Day will bounce into Thursday's   contest after  beating Stratford Academy, who they hadn't topped in nine consecutive meetings. First Presbyterian Day walked away with  a   5-2  win over Stratford Academy  on Tuesday.
  Gracyn Fuller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, First Presbyterian Day let  Hannah Davis and  Addison Arnold loose on the outfield. Davis  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances, while  Arnold  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ava Spillers, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, John Milledge Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They came up short against  Tattnall Square Academy, falling  12-0.
 John Milledge Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Addie Latimer, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double. The last time  Latimer's  batting average was this high was  back in August.
 First Presbyterian Day's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for John Milledge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
 John Milledge Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Thursday. First Presbyterian Day has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 9  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for John Milledge Academy, though, as  they've been averaging  only 3.5. Will First Presbyterian Day keep running through batters, or will John Milledge Academy buck the trend?
