Baseball Game Preview: Stephenville FAITH Knights vs. Azle Christian Fighting Crusaders

The Stephenville FAITH Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Azle Christian Fighting Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stephenville FAITH has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Stephenville FAITH lost 18-9 to Texas Wind on Tuesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Austin Aardal was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Will Gliddon also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Azle Christian came up short against Bethesda Christian on Tuesday, falling 11-3.

Azle Christian now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Stephenville FAITH, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Stephenville FAITH suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Azle Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
